본 학교[서울침례대학]은 '지역교회'에 대한 진리를 굳게 믿는 믿음 위에 세워진 교육 기관이다. 우리는 주 예수님께서 마지막 영적 수확[추수]에 대한 명령을 주신 것 (마 28:19-20, 마 9:36-38, 딤후 2:2)은 바로 그분을 따르는 사람들의 모임인 교회의 회중에게 주신 것이라고 믿기 때문에 이와 같은 영적 추수를 위한 복음사역자들을 훈련시키는 책임은 일차 성경을 믿고 실천하는 주님의 "내 교회"인 지역교회에 있다고 굳게 믿는다. 그러므로 본교는 학문 연마와 함께 그 배운 지식을 실제의 선교, 전도, 목회 현장에서 실제적으로 유용하게 활용할 수 있도록 모든 노력을 경주할 것이다. 누구든지 이러한 주님의 대 명령을 수행해 가기 위해서는 준비가 필요하다. 개인별로 차이가 있겠지만 사역자 각 개인에게 적합한 최소한의 준비를 갖춘 뒤 현장에 투입되어야 한다. 먼저 개인별 부르심에 대한 응답과 헌신 결단의 순간이 있었다면 그 다음 무엇을 어떻게 전하고 가르칠 것인가를 먼저 배우고 현장으로 나가야 한다.

불신자가 신자가 될 때도 성경이 절대 필요하지만 신자가 주님의 사역자가 되기 위해 준비할 때도 성경은 절대적인 것이 되어야 한다. 본 교회에서는 모든 가르침과 배움, 훈련이 성경 말씀을 근거로 실행되므로, 성경은 사람들이 빼거나 더하거나 고치거나 한 성경이 아닌 하나님께서 약속하신 대로 (시 12:6-7, 마 5:18, 24:35, 눅 21:33, 계 22:18-19) 그대로 순수하게 보존된 영어 킹제임스 성경과 그 성경을 한국어로 충실하게 번역한 성경만을 사용한다. 주님의 교회와 성경신학교에서의 최고, 최종 교과서는 사람의 책이 아니라 하나님의 책인 성경임을 믿는다.

또한 본교는 하나님께서 보존하신 그 성경말씀이 가르치는 것은 바로 '침례신앙'(Baptist Faith)이라고 굳게 믿기 때문에 본교에서 이루어지는 모든 교육과 활동은 이 침례신앙을 기초로 함을 알린다. 물론 우리는 이 세상에는 완전한 학교, 완전한 사람이 없다는 것을 믿지만, "성도들에게 단 한번 전달된 믿음" 위해 힘써 싸우는 일(유다서 3)에 대해서는 주저하거나 타협하지 않는다. 이렇게 각 지역교회와 본교에서 '바른 말씀[성경]'을 통해 침례신앙으로 튽튼하게 무장한 하나님의 복음 사역자들에 의해 땅의 맨 끝 지역까지 '바른 구원'이 선포되고, 국내외 곳곳에 '바른 교회'들이 세워지기를 간절히 기도한다.

Seoul Baptist College & Seminary [SBBC] is and educational institute established on the truth about our Lord's local church. Because we believe that our Lord's commandments (Mt 28:19-20, 9:36-38, 2 Tim 2:2) were delivered to His disciples, that is, His church, not to other organizations. Therefore we of SBBC will do our best to put stress not only on the academic but on the practicality of ministry in the pastoral and mission fields.

We of SBBC believe that th right Word of God is essential to the lost's spiritual experience of being born again and also to the surrender's preparation to be His worker. So we SBBC without hesitation hold to the use of the English KJV Bible and its Korean translation Bible only in our school because we believe the KJB is the very Word of God that He promised to preserve (Ps. 12:6-7, Mat. 5:18, 24:35, Lk. 21:33, Rev. 22:18-19). Also we strongly believe that both in the Lord's churches and Bible schools the ultimate and final text book is the Book of God, not the books of men.

SBBC is without hesitation and without compromise distinctively Biblical Baptist in faith, theology, and practice. We will never apologize for the faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 3), though we acknowledge that there is no perfect human or school and not every one will be a carbon copy of us. Our goal is to do all we can to glorify and lift His name through obeying our Lord's commands by helping faithful men and women to be equipped that they may go out with the 'Right Bible' to spread the 'Right Salvation' even unto the uttermost part of the earth and set up the 'Right Churches'. That is our earnest prayer.
